The Security Public Library Board of Trustees has a vacancy on the Library Board.
Persons interested in applying for a post on the Board must be a resident of Widefield School District #3 and should be interested in serving in a voluntary capacity to further public library goals.
Terms and Duties: The Board of Trustees of the Security Public Library has 7 members. Trustees are volunteers, appointed by the WSD#3 Board of Education. Trustees are appointed for 5 year term. When filled, the appointment will run until August 2028.
The board adopts and oversees the budget, bylaws and policy; conducts long range planning; and hires and evaluates the library director. The board meets once a month, on the second Thursday at 6:30 pm, at Security Public Library.
