Wireless Hotspots

Laptops for in Library Use

Laptops may be checked out for in library use only. In order to check out a laptop, the borrower must be 18 years of age or older and have a SPL patron card in good standing (no fines/fees on account) and have had a SPL library card for at least 60 days. Borrower must leave a photo ID at the circulation desk to check out a laptop; ID will be returned at the time of laptop check-in.

Wireless Hotspots

Security Public Library cardholders can access free, unlimited high-speed internet from almost anywhere through our Wi-Fi hotspot lending program.

Portable hotspots allow library cardholders who do not have home internet access to easily get online from almost anywhere using a Wi-Fi-enabled device such as a phone, tablet or laptop. Hotspots are available to check out just like a book or DVD. You can also place them on hold in our catalog. Click here to reserve yours today!
