"Any Book" Book Club

55+ Book Club at The Senior Center
We invite adults, aged 55+, to our new book club, meeting on the second Monday of every month. Note: this club meets off-site at The Fountain Valley Senior Center (5745 Southmoor Dr.) Contact us with any questions.
Whether you are an experienced knitter or just want to learn how, this club is for you! This group of fun-loving and helpful knitters swap patterns, tips and tricks, and lively conversation on the second and fourth Saturday of every month at 10am. Is knitting not really your thing? These experienced crafters know their way around crocheting as well! Don't miss the fun!
Are you an Elf saving a village from a group of zombies?
Are you a Halfling on the run for pickpocketing a wealthy Duke?
Are you a Goliath bent on finding a lost love?
All these adventures and more await at the table. Come find your tale. The game is open to anyone ages 10 to adult. Books will be available through the library. Please bring pencils and a willingness to work as a group.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Every first Tuesday of the month, TAB members meet to plan, suggest, discuss, contribute and influence the what SPL has for teens! Earn volunteer hours!
Teen Only Activity Nights
Every second Tuesday of the month, teens and their friends are invited to hang out from 5:30-6:30 pm. Activities are planned by TAB members. Snacks are always provided.
Teen Only Movie Nights
Every fourth Friday of the month, teens and their friends are invited to watch a movie after hours (5:30 pm). Movies are voted on by TAB members. Popcorn is provided.
Extras not mentioned, but certainly included:
Hang out and have fun with other teens.
Give suggestions on books, magazines, manga, and anime the library should buy.
Help plan activities for teens to do at the library.
Write book and web site reviews for the library’s website for teens.
And any other ideas you can think of! That's what this program is about - finding out what we can do to make the library a fun place for teens to hang out!

Whether it is a device specific question or you just want to get better at navigating your new Mac, come to the library every Monday* from 5:30-6:30pm to get one-on-one help from our knowledgeable instructor! These are open sessions so there is no need to make an appointment!
