Check out the following monthly activities (September - April) and be sure to check the library calendar often for updates and additions:
Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Every first Tuesday of the month, TAB members meet to plan, suggest, discuss, contribute and influence the what SPL has for teens! Earn volunteer hours!
Teen Only Activity Nights
Every second Tuesday of the month, teens and their friends are invited to hang out from 5:30-6:30 pm. Activities are planned by TAB members. Snacks are always provided.
Teen Only Movie Nights
Every fourth Friday of the month, teens and their friends are invited to watch a movie after hours (5:30 pm). Movies are voted on by TAB members. Popcorn is provided.
Extras not mentioned, but certainly included:
Hang out and have fun with other teens.
Give suggestions on books, magazines, manga, and anime the library should buy.
Help plan activities for teens to do at the library.
Write book and web site reviews for the library’s website for teens.
And any other ideas you can think of! That's what this program is about - finding out what we can do to make the library a fun place for teens to hang out!
