Summer @SPL for Teens in Grades 6th through 12th

Come play, compete, win, and read in Security Public Library's Teen Summer Reading Program. Set your own pace for reading or listening to books, and choose which weekly activities you'd like to participate in.
Register using our App, Beanstack, or come into the library to pick up a paper log, then get reading! For every two hours of reading, you will earn an entry into the drawing of your choice for one of several grand prizes. You can earn up to 150 entries! Guaranteed prizes for completing 10 hours (enamel pin of your choice) and 20 hours (crazy socks)!

Weekly Events
Registration is not required to participate. See the schedule below.*
Movie Mondays (from 4:00 pm - the end of the film)
Movies are shown in the Program Room (lower level). Participants younger than 13 will need a signed permission slip to view PG-13 features. Snacks are provided, and candy will be sold to raise money for future teen activities.
Activity Wednesdays (drop in any time between 1:00 and 2:00 pm)
Activities are designed to be completed at the library on our outdoor patio. Supplies are limited. Please wear clothes that can get messy and sunscreen.
*All teen-only events are free, and open to teens in grades 6th - 12th and their friends in the same age group. Participants do not need to be enrolled in the Summer Reading Program to attend the summer events
