Children's Activities

Story Time Kits

  • Each week we will have a new theme to go with our Storytime Tuesday Video! Pick up a kit during curbside hours- Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 12-4. Kits are also available for pick up during scheduled appointments.

Do your kiddos enjoy building, experimenting and creating? Then make sure to check out our STEAM To-Go kits! New kits will be available the first and third week of the month and can be picked up during curbside hours. You can even make/experiment with our Children's Staff the first and third Thursday of the month on our Facebook page! For more information, please email us at All ages are welcome to participate!

The words "trivia night"


Do you fancy yourself a trivia buff?!? Know a little about a lot?? Join us October 23rd from 7-8 p.m. for our brand-new virtual trivia night!! Play solo or as a team - all ages and knowledge levels welcome. Winners will receive gift cards to local businesses!

Scary Story Contest - all ages

We want to hear your terrifying tales during the month of October as we bring back the Scary Story Contest! In 1500 words or less, tell us your scariest (or not-so-scary) story and win prizes! All ages and skill levels are welcome and prizes will be awarded for each age group. Halloween Fun @ your library

Starting Monday the 26th, drop by the library to pick up your trick-or-treat bag! Costumes welcomed, but not necessary!

Yarn Pumpkins

Get ready for fall and Halloween by making these cute yarn pumpkins! The kit includes everything you will need to make 2 of these awesome decorations. 

October 12th - 17th

Elderberry Syrup Kits!

This DIY Elderberry syrup has been used for centuries to help with symptoms of colds and the flu, it is also believed to help build the immune system. The kit includes elderberry herb pack, local Colorado honey, directions, and a labeled jar to store your homemade Elderberry syrup.

October 19th - 24th

Book Butterflies

A skeleton key with a butterfly made from book pages in the center, hung from twine.

Create these unique book butterflies using old book pages and vintage skeleton keys! All you will need is a hot glue gun or other strong, fast-acting adhesive to make two of these fun butterflies. 


October 26th - 31st

DIY Body Glitter Kits

DIY body glitter kit -  3 jars in a green bag with a tag.

Add a touch of sparkle to your Halloween make-up or apply as desired to add a little shimmer to your day.
